First, thanks for reading, and hope you find this useful and interesting.
My name is Ángeles Fernández, and I’m helping people online with their Spanish language skills since 2002, more or less, and it is something I really enjoy. During the last years more and more people are getting interested not only in Spanish language, but also in the culture of my country (By the way, I am from Spain, where I live now).
I had been writing for Bellaonline in the past, among other sites, and I am still teaching Spanish online. I “discovered” this platform (Substack.com) some months ago, but it is now that I decided to start my own newsletter, after having passed through some changes in my life.
So, the idea I have in mind is to start writing about Spanish from “the very beginning”, step by step, but not just about Spanish grammar, oh, no… I believe there should be a balance between theory and practice, between grammar and listening, understanding or speaking a new language. That’s why my plans include adding podcasts, reading comprehensions, grammar exercises (oh yes, you need that too! ;-) ), crosswords, Spanish word of the day, a Spanish reading club, etc…
I am also open to your ideas, questions and doubts about Spanish language and culture. Hope I can help you!
My plans are sending two “Spanish language & culture” newsletters every week. One of them every Sunday, and the second one every Wednesday. But depending on how many activities, exercises, discussion threads, etc. I think you could find interesting, I could add more issues per week.
I’d also like to apologize in case you find any mistake, as my first language is Spanish. I studied English many, many years ago! And I’m still learning, so please, be patient! :-)
