¡Hola, Sal!

Sobre tus preguntas:

1. Quien Sera = who could it be ( Sera is could?) I thought this was be verb ( will in future).

✔ In fact "será" is a future tense, and the word-for-word translation is "Who (it) will be?". We use this future tense with a sense of "who could it be".

Será = it will be, 3rd person singular, verb Ser.

2. Es muy tarde = too late but I see muy also meaning very eg estoy muy bien..??

✔Oh, I see! You are right, as "muy" means "very", but it's not a literal translation in this case, as I thought "too late" would be more common in English. Too avoid this, I think I will translate more literal from now on. This helps me a lot, thanks! 😊👌

3. llamando = knocking but in your newsletter you also wrote llama to mean the same..but these are different words/forms llama means called?

✔ Both, "llamando" and "llama" forms belong to the same verb: "llamar", which means "to call". The difference is "llamando" is a gerund (calling), and "llama" means (he/she calls). (Attention! You can also find "la llama", a noun, and it means "the flame")

4. echarme = lend me a hand can I also say echarme Una XXX lend me a book/ algunas dinero/ some money?

✔No, no, as "echar una mano" is an expression (to lend a hand). We can not translated into English word for word. But if we want to say "to lend a book, money, etc…" we'd use the verb "prestar", as in: "Prestar un libro" or "Prestar un libro".

5. Según = according to can I say según el govieno las restrictions Será mejor luego ,/the restrictions will be better later

✔Correcto. "Según el gobierno, las restricciones serán mejores luego."

6. Me refiero = i refer to ...refiero is first person conjugation but still need me because it is a reflexive verb?

✔¡Muy bien, sí! It is a reflexive verb: "referirse".

7. las qué estan = the ones that are... Can I use for any nouns eg the ones could be clothes or chocolate or anything to describe as expensive for example ..

✔Sure, as long as "those things" are feminine nouns:

"las que están" = las casas que están,… las niñas que están… las palabras que están…

For masculine words we would use "los":

"los que están", refering, for example, to "los niños que están"… "los coches que están", etc…

8. en el que= in which. Can I use as a linker eg..me gustar pieses en el que son tranquilo.

✔ Yes, I think that's possible.

Por ejemplo: "Me gusta pensar en un sitio en el que soy feliz." ("I like to think of a place where (in which) I'm happy.")

9. Podeis ver I thought meant you can see but in your newsletter the translation put ' possible'.

✔ Oh, maybe you're talking about the sentence: "Es posible ver cómo funciona la persiana." Here, the translation is: "It is possible to see how the blind works."

But the following sentence reads: "Podéis ver el video aquí" (You can see the video here.)

So you were right, as "Podéis ver" means "You can see". The problem is both sentences are togother. :-)

10. Qué le parece translation what do you think but this other verb crees I thought meant that too eg qué crees?

✔Sure! Same meaning! You can either say: "¿Qué le parece?" or "¿Qué cree?". (These forms are "formal" in Spain, and the "informal" ones are: "¿Qué te parece?" or "¿Qué crees?")

Muchas gracias para tus respuestas!!!!

¡De nada!

PD: Whenever we thank someone, we'll use "por": "Gracias por…" ;-)

¡Buen trabajo, Sal!
